Description
"Trumpeter Swan Feather Bite" by Patti Deters. A Trumpeter Swan (Cygnus buccinator) reaches back to her tailfeathers as she preens, biting the feathers in her open mouth / beak. Her large sturdy legs, standing on the ice near the water, are obvious from this pose, perhaps not her best side but an interesting image nonetheless!
