"Spring Ephemeral with Texture - Muscari" by Patti Deters. This is artwork of small spring blooming flower bulbs, known as ephemerals, which are some of the earliest blooming wildflowers in Minnesota. This variety of Muscari is also known as Grape hyacinths. When blooming, the dainty cluster of flowers resemble a bunch of grapes. They will naturalize (spread) in nature so after planting even just a few you will have them in your garden forever. In this art piece, I've isolated one single flower stalk and surrounded it with soft green pastels with a bit of pink and white textures and bokeh. Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art. Other images are more digital and simple, and those tend to portray the softer side of nature.
