"Raven at Bryce Canyon" by Patti Deters. A close-up portrait of a large black Common Raven (Corvus corax) standing on a rock post, possibly admiring the scenic vista of the cliffs and hoodoos in the background. These large black birds are common in the Bryce Canyon National Park area of Utah and can also been found all over the world. The ravens is larger than a crow or blackbird and has a more robust beak as can be seen in this photograph. Ravens are also one of the more intelligent of all the bird species. Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art. Other images are more digital and simple, and those tend to portray the softer side of nature.
