"Dwarf iris with Texture" by Patti Deters. These lovely purple dwarf irises were given to me by my aunt and planted where they peek over a garden edge in the Spring. The blooms are beautiful and I've added this oil painting texture to give the image a nice painterly effect. I love how the green and purple complement each other - makes me even more eager for Spring! Photograph taken in my private garden near St. Paul, Minnesota. Beautiful image. The texture really works for me! It makes it look like a watercolor on tissue, which probably couldn't be done in real life.
