Artist's Description
"Trumpeter Swan Overpass" by Patti Deters. These four Trumpeter Swans (Cygnus Buccinator) in flight were heading my way as I waited on the ice river for them to land. You can see the freeway overpass in the background with the morning dawn just beginning to glow. These beautiful white birds are so graceful - definitely worth the wait even in the snow and cold winter. Photographed during the winter along the St. Croix River in Hudson, Wisconsin. Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art. Other images are more digital and simple, and those tend to portray the softer side of nature.
