"Trumpeter Swan Neck #2" by Patti Deters. In the late morning mist on the river, this lone Trumpeter Swan (Cygnus buccinator) stands on thin ice and reaches his long neck into the icy cold water for a cool drink. The feathers are snow white on the lovely bird, and the long, graceful neck extends out and curves as it drinks and swallows the icy cold water. Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art. Other images are more digital and simple, and those tend to portray the softer side of nature.
