"Three Mallard Splash" by Patti Deters. Three Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) ducks come in for a landing with a big splash, almost running into the ice shelf on the water. The two males and one hen (female) swam around for awhile and then took off to land nearby with another big splash - almost like they were having fun playing in the cold water! Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art. Other images are more digital and simple, and those tend to portray the softer side of nature.
