"Pretty Garden Hibiscus" by Patti Deters. The blooms of the Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) flower are huge and vibrant, and attract a lot of attention in the summer garden. While many hibiscus are annuals in Minnesota, this one is a perennial in that it comes back every year. They come in many colors but this bright pink magenta is one of my favorites. Several overlays of soft watercolor strokes and canvas textures have been applied to this vertical image for a romantic and artistic effect.
