Artist's Description
"Lake Superior Ice Wave" by Patti Deters. Massive ice formation on the shores of Lake Superior in Minnesota. It looks like a big wave froze instantaneously as it came crashing up against the rocks. It looks a bit like a mountain or a walrus ice sculpture. The gloomy gray sky and barren landscape gives it a dystopian, other-worldly feel, like it is on the moon, somewhere in the arctic, or even on another planet! About Patti Deters
Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art. Other images are more digital and simple, and those tend to portray the softer side of nature.
