"Green Heron Patience" by Patti Deters. This Green Heron was standing very still for a long time just waiting for some fish or insects to get too close. We never did see it catch anything to eat though. Photograph taken in Florida Everglades National Park. Digital painting technique applied for artistic effect. Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art. Other images are more digital and simple, and those tend to portray the softer side of nature.
