"Great Blue Heron Plays with Fish #1" by Patti Deters. This Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) appeared to be dancing as it played with a little fish before finally eating it for dinner. This wildlife photograph is a beautiful depiction of the intricate and dynamic relationship between predator and prey in the natural world. This majestic bird was photographed against the blue green ocean waters of the Gulf of Mexico at Port Aransas near Corpus Christi, Texas. Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art.
