Description
"BV09 - Centaurea Montana Presenting" by Patti Deters. A single blooming cut flower of a Centaurea Montana flower shows its personality with the outstretched "arms" (leaves) and slightly bent "body" (stem) that give the impression of a person presenting or introducing someone, or perhaps saying "ta da"! A simple light grey oil paint texture has been applied to create this minimalist painterly artwork. Centaurea Montana plants are also known as Mountain Bluet, Perennial Bachelor's Button, and/or Perennial Cornflower. They are an easy-care native wildflower plant and do well in my Minnesota garden. I like the personality that the hairy stems and long green leaves give these little blue purple flowers once they are placed in a vase.
