"American Bald Eagle Perch Wings" by Patti Deters. This large brown bird with the white head is the American Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus). Her great wings are outstretched to provide stability as she is landing on the top of a fence post. Eagles are raptors and can be found in all of the USA and are the National Bird of the United States. These birds can have wingspans up to 7.5 feet across! Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art. Other images are more digital and simple, and those tend to portray the softer side of nature.
