"White Pelican Solo" by Patti Deters. A single white pelican (Pelecanus erythrorhynchos) barely ripples the blue gray water as she floats lazily along, presenting us with a simple minimal view not often found in wildlife. These large birds are lovely with their orange bills / beaks and pure bright white feathers.
