Description
“Trumpeter Swan Wing” by Patti Deters. This lovely ‘Cygnus buccinator’ flaps her big beautiful wings after landing on the water. The white feathers shine in the light flare of the late morning. Trumpeter swans are freshwater birds preferring marshes, ponds, lakes and rivers where they can find aquatic plants for food. Did you know that large male trumpeters can have a wingspan of almost ten feet! If you like this image, please enjoy more (avian, wildlife, and more) at patti-deters.pixels.com.
