Description
"Seahorse" by Patti Deters. Seahorses (Hippocampus) dwell in shallow coasts but are most easily seen in zoos and aquariums. These tiny water dwellers are considered fish in that they have gills and a swim bladder, but they are terrible swimmers. Did you know that males are the ones to give birth? Females place their eggs in the male’s pouch to become fertilized and carried for several weeks before being born.
