Description
"San Antonio Riverwalk - Colorful Umbrellas" by Patti Deters. A row of outdoor dining seating with colorful umbrellas lines the 15-mile urban waterway in San Antonio, Texas. Also known as The River Walk, or Paseo del Rio, it is the largest urban ecosystem in the United States and began in 1941 as a means of controlling water levels. You can find it below street level and, walking or boating, it is a serene and pleasant experience when touring the town while offering charming cafes and shops along the many canals. This is one of three images also available in a pre-formatted triptych that you can find at the link below. Very cool and creative use of selective color. It makes me year to visit San Antonio. This is what creative photography is all about. Fabulous image.
