"Red Fox Kit #8 - Paw Lick" by Patti Deters. A cute furry red fox kit (Vulpes vulpes) licks his black-tipped paw as he sits in the grass on his little pile of dirt. It looks like it's still quite young, maybe only a few months old. One of the fox's paws is lifted up to its mouth, and it looks like it's licking it. Maybe cleaning itself after a meal or just getting rid of something that got stuck to its paw. Either way, it's an adorable pose. Overall, the image is a heartwarming and charming portrayal of a cute and curious creature in its natural environment. A digital splatter painting technique has been applied for artistic effect. Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art.
