Description
“Quintessential Columbine - Vertical Portrait” by Patti Deters. One of the most beautiful of the native spring flowers, Columbine (Aquilegia canadensis) comes in many color variations, including this soft pastel pink and yellow version. Columbine flowers are easy to grow perennial herbs that self-sow readily, with bell shaped blooms and petals that form a sort of star. They are also wildflowers, native to eastern North America, but can be found just about everywhere in meadows and woodlands. It’s also the state flower of Colorado, and the flowers are edible with a sweet taste! Textures and a vertical crop designed for artistic effect. Beautiful work done on this columbine. Soothing colors and soft background make this pleasant to look at.
