"Jen Day Parakeets - Four Friends" by Patti Deters. Four little birds sit in a row, perched on a branch, just hanging out together. Jen Day Parakeets (Aratinga jandaya) are adored for their big eyes with a bright yellow head and green and red orange feather colors. These playful and small birds are very social and make great pets if you don't mind the noise. Jen Days may be trained to do simple tricks but this Conure species cannot mimic like other parrots. They will, however, learn your schedule and let you know when it's time to wake up! These parakeets are native to Brazil and are sometimes confused with Sun Conures.
