Description
”Obedient Plant Portrait” by Patti Deters. Obedient Plant (Physostegia virginiana) is also known as False Dragon head because the flowers are similar to snapdragons. You can bend each individual flower bud in any direction – and it will stay put. In the natural garden, however, these perennials readily spread and can take over a small garden in no time. Still, the spikey lavender pink flowers are pretty and bloom at the end of summer when other plants are starting to fade. A vertical crop and texture added for artistic effect, along with plant identification.
