"Great Blue Heron Wet Look" by Patti Deters. This single GBH (Ardea herodias) was walking proudly along the beach shoreline in Corpus Christi, Texas (near Corpus Christi) one early winter afternoon. His long "hair" feathers are soaking wet from all the coastal ocean surf, giving him a wet look like he just got out of the shower. I like how the sun sparkles off the ocean spray and makes all those little soft bokeh circles in the background. Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art. Other images are more digital and simple, and those tend to portray the softer side of nature.
