Artist's Description
"Bloodroot Art" by Patti Deters. The very first flower to bloom in the spring in our Minnesota gardens. This native perennial plant grows tiny and low to the ground, but makes a big impact with the bright white petals when they bloom in early spring. The black background in this close-up photograph lets you see the orange center stamens easily and creates even more contrast. About Patti Deters
Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art. Other images are more digital and simple, and those tend to portray the softer side of nature.
